Lotpath Releases Developer API for Fresh Produce Inspection Software

Fresno, CA (PRWEB) September 16, 2014

Lotpath, a leading provider of software apps to the fresh produce industry today announced the availability of a Developer API for Lotpath Quality, the industry leading fresh produce inspection software app. Lotpath Quality has a built-in customizable dashboard for viewing inspection data, inspection photos, and graphs of numeric quality data. The dashboard lets users share inspection data and photos with trading partners via email.

For produce companies who have their own internal product quality dashboard or business intelligence software, the Lotpath Quality Developer API enables secure automatic retrieval of data from a Lotpath Quality account. Produce company software developers will appreciate the power and flexibility of the Lotpath Quality Developer API.

Kingston Fresh, a produce industry leader in product quality innovation started using the Lotpath Quality produce inspection software app in late 2013. Kingston Fresh selected Lotpath Quality because of its customizable inspection forms, its native Apple iPad app, and its integration with Famous Software, Kingston Fresh’s accounting and inventory software.

Ryan Cheney, the Director of IT at Kingston Fresh stated “Lotpath Quality and the Developer API filled our product quality tracking needs perfectly. We saved time and money by not developing the software app internally.” Mike Dodson, the Co-Founder and CEO of Lotpath added “We found a great business partner in Kingston Fresh.”

Kingston Fresh has a company intranet website that displays key product quality statistics so that Kingston Fresh personnel can continuously monitor product quality. Before using Lotpath Quality, Kingston Fresh filled out inspection worksheets by hand and entered the quality data into a database that fed the intranet website. Now inspectors use iPads and the Lotpath Inspector app to record product quality data and capture photos, eliminating the handwritten inspection worksheets and data entry steps. The Lotpath Quality Developer API enables Kingston Fresh software developers to automatically retrieve inspection data from Lotpath Quality and update the key product quality statistics on the company’s intranet website.

According to Dodson, the Lotpath Quality Developer API is one example of how Lotpath provides innovative and valuable software to produce companies. Dodson said “Lotpath works hard to stay at the forefront of software technology. We understand that in an interconnected world produce companies benefit from software vendors’ willingness to build integration points into their software apps. Lotpath lives in the world of software developer APIs and software app mashups.”
