Why There is no Flash On Mobile And Touch Screens Computers

People or so the world are asking the question, why can i not have flash on my mobile telephone or touch screen pc? I mean this is the 21st century, surely i should be able to watch Hulu and play flash games on my twist – Shouldnt i?

Well it seems that the reason there is no Flash integration on the iphone, mobile devices and coming iPad is because the touch screen will make a lot of flash apps, games and even videos unworkable.   And it seems that this is where the problem lies.

Reported on Mac.Blorge – Flash developer, Morgan Adams speaking about the lack of Flash on phones and touch screen devices, the following:-

Video players where the controls appear when you move the steal over and dissapear otherwise, as seen on Hulu.Video Games where steering controls use the mouse without clickingMenus that popup subpage links when you mouse over a main button, versus expiration right away to a main category page when you clickButtons that have of import explanations/summaries on mouseover, which you need to understand before deciding what to clickFunctions that use mouseover to preview and click to endue; such as choosing hair colors for an avatar: you mouse over the colors until your character looks the way you like, and then you click to commitMaps and diagrams that don’t use click at all, in time for the Summer.

One thing is for sure though, even if Flash does turn available for touch screen – Apple will in all probability block its use on their products, or risk loassing a big clump of gross.

For Apple , the live internet tv side of their business organization is so niggling that they consider it just a hobby – So says chief operating officer of Apple,  Tim Cook. He spoke at the Goldman Sachs tech league in San Francisco, saying that their internet television project was “still a hobby,” that occupied a small space in a market that.  Apple, he said, focuses on businesses with huge markets. But, he said, Apple would continue to keep its irons in the fire because “our gut tells us there’s something there.” It also doesn’t hurt that Jobs & Co. saw a 35% bump in Apple TV gross sales last quarter compared to a year ago.

“nowadays?, the go-to-market model for Apple TV is very difficult,” Cook said. “Because it would seem that that go-to-market model would lead to the TV. And we have no interest in creation in the TV market.”

Heres what he said in full:-
On Apple TV:“Apple TV is still a hobby. The reality is that Apple TV is in a market that is very small today….But we’re going to continue to robe in it because our gut tells us there’s something there….We have no interest in the TV market.”
Considering the dominant position they currently hold in the online tv market, all i can say is “God help us when they do decide to take Apple TV seriously!”
