The Most Memorable Tom Cruise Performances Up To This Point

Tom Cruise has had some fantastic movies over the years. He went through a period where he was not so favorable in the public eye (jumping on the couch incident on Oprah/preaching Scientology), but he has somehow managed to win audiences over again. In my opinion, he was always great, even if he was a little too emotional about certain issues.

Whether or not you are a fan of him as a person, it is hard to argue with Tom Cruise’s list of movies that he has starred in. Here are some of my favorites.

The first movie I will mention also happened to be my Halloween costume last year, and that film was Risky Business. The scene in this movie where Cruise is running around his house in sunglasses and socks has become an iconic scene.

Another great Tom Cruise movie that I thoroughly enjoyed was The Last Samurai. This is a great war epic, taking place in 1800s Japan at a time when the Samurai and their traditions were being wiped out of existence. This is a fantastic movie.

One movie that I have to include on any list of Tom Cruise films is without a shadow of a doubt, Vanilla Sky. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It is one of those films that the more times you watch it, the more you pick up on.

Another great Tom Cruise film is Vanilla Sky. This movie just makes me happy. In my opinion, it is director Cameron Crowe’s best film to date. Penelope Cruz shines, while Cameron Diaz and Jason Lee deliver great supporting roles.

Of course, one movie that must be mentioned on this list is Rain Main. This is an absolutely incredible film, and Dustin Hoffman delivers the role of his career. It was no surprise that this movie won the Oscar for Best Picture of the Year.

One movie of Tom Cruise’s that I have yet to see, but have only heard amazing things about, is Magnolia. I don’t doubt that this movie is amazing, considering the great Paul Thomas Anderson directed it, and it is without a doubt the next film of his that I need to see.
