Have you noticed on tv lately that companies are sending consumers to fan pages instead of websites? My how the times have changed. Fan pages are the hottest trend in the industry right now.
I highly recommend looking at other peoples pages first before you make a fan page on Facebook so that you can see what you’d like yours to look.
The first step to take is to go to Google and type in “fan page.” On the search results you’ll see a site that says “Create a Page.” Click on that website.
The next step that you want to take is to choose the category of your page.
After you choose the category then the next step to take is to choose your name. It’s important to note that your page name can’t be changed so make sure you choose your name with caution.
If you don’t like your page name then you can always create a new one but if you have a lot of existing fans this could be a real pain.
After you’ve chosen your name check off the Facebook terms and conditions tab and click “Create Official Page.”
On the next screen you’ll see “Create a Facebook Account.” If you are the only person on the planet that still doesn’t have an account yet then you’ll need to create one. Otherwise, login to your account.
Step 1: Choose a photo. Make sure that your photo is professional and looks nice.
Step 2: Invite your friends. If you have an account already then you can start inviting friends to your page.
*To make sure that your account doesn’t get suspended, it’s important to be careful how many friends that you invite at one time. Try to keep the number to 50 or less.
Step 3: You can import an email or contact list and invite them to become your fan.
Step 4: Write Status Updates. Remember to keep your updates fresh and interesting. If you’re promoting a business then it’s important to keep a healthy balance between business and personal posts.
Step 5: Promote your page on your website. Make sure to add a “like” box to your blog or website. You should also add links to your fan page on email signatures and other social media profiles as well.
You’ll need to promote your page in as many places as possible if you want to get a lot of fans.
Step 6: Set up your mobile phone. This is where you can set up your cell phone to receive status updates and upload photos.
