That being said you need to pay extra attention in making sure that the header image and text are inviting enough to make people scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and see what other things you can offer them.
Do not show too many ads. When you design your own blog, find the right balance by not putting too many commercials on both sides and bottom of your pages. This will steer people away because you do not have enough valuable content to keep them busy. This way, you not only lose the traffic, but also potential customer base.
A blog with a goal does not happen overnight, so you must be very careful when you create your own blog. Expect to work long hours to choose the right model alone, and be prepared to spend more when it’s time to gather the remaining items such as pictures header, content, sidebar widgets, etc.
